RawSpiceBar | Review

I have to cook on a daily basis. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. You know?! the life of a single mom. The thing is, some days I feel like I literally live in the kitchen, I don't know what else to cook and the only condiments I know are salt, pepper, and adobo (Is a Puertorrican thing). But lately, I have been getting a little bit of help and today, I want to share it with you.
.
.
The RawSpiceBar is a quarterly subscription box and is all about 100% pure, natural spices and blends. Cool huh?!. Every three month you will receive a box with 6 different blends, freshly grounded and all depending on your eating preferences. They not only send you the spices they also tell you the ingredients and where they are from.
.
Once you choose your diet type and take the "Flavor Quiz", you can choose how would you like to be billed. Quarterly ($26) or yearly ($88). If you don't wish to subscribe, you can also buy the spices individually or as a set. They have a variety of sets to choose from.
.
Once subscribed, you'll receive weekly emails with recipes according to the blends they sent you. I like it because they are easy to understand and follow.
.
For example, on the gift set, they sent me. I received this 1.1 oz of "Blackened Cajun". It contains Smoked paprika, onion, garlic, cayenne, black peppercorns, white peppercorns, thyme, oregano, fennel seed. It smells kinda spicy but good.
.
And a "Lemongrass Cambodia Curry". It contains lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, black peppercorns, coriander, cumin, garlic, turmeric, ginger and galangal root. And it smells divine.
.
The bag says 1.1oz but as you can see that bag comes FULL. They are supposed to be good for 2 meals. I think that depends on you seasoned you like your food. I still have some around in the kitchen.
.
The spices come 100% sealed and secure in a bag. The bags also have a zip tie but they do not recommend you to leave the spice in there. Is preferable if you transfer them to a crystal container for long lasting.
.
And, if this subscription wasn't cool enough. You can also peel the sticker from the bag and put it in the container. That way, you won't confuse the spice and have a reminder of what's in them. You can also write the date of when you got them. Just in case.
.
So far, I am really enjoying this subscription. Not only do I get to experiment and know about international spices. I also get some cool and easy recipes that get me out of the "What to cook" limbo and for a very reasonable price.
.
